When
connecting an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 to the Internet, you will
almost always need a router; SerberNet only provides one IP address for
residential packages. If you currently do not have a router, then you
may have to get one and contact us about disabling the NAT translation
on the radio. You can tell if NAT translation is active by checking for
a 169.254.1.X address being assigned to the first device that receives
the Internet.
If you are unable
to get a router, and are trying to directly connect the Internet to the
game console, specifying the IP address to utilize the DMZ on the
radio's firewall may help. Please use the addresses specified in this guide (guide
is specific to changing address for Windows XP, but the addresses can
be specified on your console to circumvent incoming blocked ports).
If you are looking for help with port forwarding, you will find help
from http://portforward.com.
You just have to select your model of router, and the application you
are looking to use.
